EDIT: Won him! :la:

My Entry for HIP#9 for *Greatalmightyqueen's Pony Auction.

I realize I'm probably going to have more than a crapload of competition for this beauty, but I figured I had to try anyway.

BECAUSE I AM A TOTAL CLOSET FANT-TARD FOR DALES PONIES. They're like, miniature Friesans! What more could you ask for??

Plus, Peter needed a friend.

And don't ask me where his name came from. Dublin just got stuck in my head and NOW IT WON'T GO AWAY.

The following story is written with the idea that we win him--thus this is completely hypothetical.

(And yeah--I chopped off poor Peter's tail. :XD:)

:iconhorseart-rpg:

Dublin was most definately NOT our first choice when we perused Brazen Fields' pony auction. His ears were glued to his skull the whole time, he snarled and snapped like a cat (TJ swears she even heard a hiss one time), and he was just plain mean.

Management took one look at him, shook their heads, and turned away.

Thus, his fate was sealed. Because we all know that TJ loves defying Management (which is kind of hilarious, her acting like a defiant teenager considering she's their boss but whatever).

We brought him home the following day, tended the wounds he caused, and set him loose in the pasture to see what would happen.

Probably not our smartest move, we admit, but it resulted in an amazing outcome.

As we had thought, the yearlings we turned him out with tried bullying him around--already they were far taller than he was, with more running muscle and the quick instincts of the noblest of breeds. No one took into account, however, just how mean Dublin was.

Three of the yearlings in the pasture had to be treated for small lacerations around the knees and shoulders, while the rest cowered along the fenceline whenever he came near.

That first day, Dublin pranced around his newly-claimed pasture, checking every nook and cranny as if surveying his kingdom. And, low and behold, he fell in love with the willow tree planted in the far back corner.

Only, this tree's shade was already occupied--our poor little wimpy Peter cowered under its overhanging branches, nursing a shoulder bruised earlier that morning from a well-placed yearling kick.

Hands started shouting and grabbed lead ropes, aiming to get Dublin out immediately, but it was a large running pasture and the willow was placed alongside the back fence.

When everyone finally got there, they saw a heavy-set demon sitting alertly in the grass with a giant white baby pressed against his side.

It seems that Dublin has declared himself Peter's protector and champion.

No one messes with Peter anymore.
